its official that Sony is fixing my camera now ;)

Yup, did some research and found out that the F717 Sony camera is defective and there is a class action lawsuit against them for it. I shipped my camera back to them free of charge, they just got done fixing it and are now shipping it back to me. So (fingers crossed) I should have my camera back by Thursday the 13th, im so excited, im sure I will be posting like a madman, already have a trip planned to the zoo this weekend with my GF. Anyways im stoked and figured people would want to know about Sony.

The lawsuit ends on October 14th, so if you have a camera, get it to them quick!

Its Official

I have no camera anymore, my Sony took a crap on me, and I have no camera to shoot with now. Im saving up to get a Canon 5D but its going to take me at least a year, sorry to anyone who visits my page on a regular basis, im sure you noticed I haven't been posting much at all, and this is the reason. The last photos I got were shooting at my friends wedding when it died. So until I get the cash together, the only thing you will see on my pages will be my graphic design. I will keep everyone posted on when I recieve a new camera. Thanks to everyone for all of your lovely comments on my photography!

Newsworthy!

So about a month ago I saw a posting on craigslist for a nightlife photographer here in Phoenix. So I sent them an email stating that i was interested in the position, and sent a link along to my blog here on buzz. After a couple weeks I hadn't heard back from them so I figured they didn't like my stuff. But I got an email saying that they viewed my blog and liked my photography better then all the other applicants, and wanted to know if I was still interested. So I accepted and told them to call me. Anyways after a conversation on the phone they gave me some background on what they do, I was totally stoked because it opens up other avenues of not only income for me, but also for my DJ'ing and my graphic design knowledge because they also own an advertising agency.

Anyways, so tonight I go out on my "probational" shoot, I have to shoot 4 events before I can officially become a photographer for them. After which, I will be the lead photographer covering all of Arizona and all of the major weekly and monthly events here in town. So I chose to go to club 6 tonight, for a couple reasons. My buddy is running a weekly there right now, so the exposure will help him, also im familiar with the club and know where to get the good pics. Anyways, im excited and thought all my buzz friends should know. Hopefully this is a good venture for me, and not a sour grape.

A huge project

So I decided to start scanning in all of my pictures that I have from before my time, through my childhood, and into my early adult years. This will be one huge project, spanning 30 years of time roughly. So im looking at hundreds of photos, most all need to be touched up, or color corrected. Im working on getting some people to sign up to buzznet so I can get a premium account and be able to upload more then 180 images.

Anyways, for those of you that are asking yourself "is this guy nuts" well, yeah....sort of. I have an obsession with digitizing stuff, from my music, to my designs, to my photography. I like to have stuff on hardrives rather then keep them in physical form. So yeah, embarassing pictures of my family, and me soon to come. Stay tuned......
